Angel Tree Camping
Angel Tree Camping provides funding for a child with an incarcerated parent to attend and integrate into a regular week at a local Christian day or overnight camp.
Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to only those who successfully qualify for the to program. In order for the child of an offender to qualify for the program, the following conditions must be met:
- The incarcerated parent must be in a correctional institution in Canada at the time of his/her application
- The offender must be the biological or legal parent of the child
- The offender must complete an Inmate Application, have it approved by his/her chaplain, and submit it to Prison Fellowship Canada at our national office
- The offender’s application must be approved by Prison Fellowship Canada.
For any child who is approved for sponsorship through Angel Tree Camping, Prison Fellowship Canada regional staff or volunteers will work with the child’s caregiver to help connect the family with a local Christian camp in their area and facilitate the child’s camp registration. Please note that it is the responsibility of the child’s caregiver to arrange transportation to and from the camp.
If you are a Caregiver and are interested in having a child participate in Angel Tree Camping, please have their incarcerated parent speak with their Chaplain and request an application.
If you are interested in donating to Prison Fellowship Canada to help send a child to camp through Angel Tree Camping, please contact us today.
